Hist\u00f2ricament, el fot\u00f2graf pirineista Eug\u00e8ne Trutat va fotografiar el brand\u00f3 de Saint-Aventin el 1898 (els negatius en placa de vidre els originals de la qual es conserven a la Biblioteca de Tolosa). Avui, el brand\u00f3 de Saint-Aventin t\u00e9 lloc al ve\u00efnat de Castilhon de Larbost. Est\u00e0 organitzat per l’ajuntament i per la comissi\u00f3 de festes de Sant Avent\u00ed. El brand\u00f3 es fa a partir d\u2019una con\u00edfera que es preparar\u00e0 uns mesos abans de la festa: es divideix longitudinalment utilitzant cantonades de fusta inserides a les ranures. Un aperitiu dona la benvinguda als vilatans, abans que el brand\u00f3 es cremi a la nit. Seguint el costum, el rector beneeix el brand\u00f3 i despr\u00e9s la persona m\u00e9s vella del poble enc\u00e8n la palla als peus del brand\u00f3. La crema del dia de Sant Joan t\u00e9 lloc la setmana del 23 de juny, normalment el divendres seg\u00fcent (depenent de la festa local). <\/p>\n
