In Bertren, the brandon is split and then left to dry before being raised. Once upright, the brandon is covered with straw and branches are propped up against the base. Lastly, a bouquet of flowers is hung on top on the day of the festival. In the evening, the village council organizes a community meal which is followed by the lighting of the brandon. There is music and dancing to accompany the celebration. <\/p>\n
