In the village of O\u00f4, the St. John’s Eve brandon is celebrated at the same time as the village festival which is usually on the second weekend of July. The brandon is lit after a community meal, and dances take place around the fire. The village council and the O\u00f4 festival committee are responsible for the event. <\/p>\n
