The brandon in Sost is organized by the Sost Sports and Cultural Association. A tree is split lengthwise, and wooden wedges are driven into it. The brandon is covered with straw and crowned with a bouquet. Villagers get together for a meal before the the brandon is set ablaze in the evening. The event takes place on the Saturday following Saint John\u2019s Day. <\/p>\n
