Sacoué

The brandon is usually organized by the village council, but a festival committee may be formed to look after festivities, while the village council will be responsible for preparing the tree. The brandon is split and left to dry; then, on the day of the feast, straw is inserted and the mayor places a bouquet of flowers at its top. In 2020, the brandon was prepared, but was not burned due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The trunk was left to dry for another year. The brandon usually takes place on or around June 23, depending on the dates of the brandons in neighboring municipalities. The festival is sometimes accompanied by a community meal.
