The traditional brandon is prepared by the Bramevaque festival committee, which devotes a day to debarking and splitting the trunk and inserting the wedges. The festival is usually held in the third or fourth week of June. The festival was cancelled in 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic,
