The brandon in Loures-Barousse is organized by the festival committee. The trunk is split lengthwise and wooden wedges are driven in so the wood can dry out. Finally, shortly before the festival, the brandon is covered with straw and crowned with a bouquet of flowers. The brandon is set on fire at dusk.
