The St John’s Eve brandon is initially ordered from a sawmill by the Saléchan council. The tree is then split with wedges and covered with straw. The brandon was cancelled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but in 2021, it was held in October. The village council took charge of organization (previously provided by the festival committee) so that inhabitants could enjoy the festival as usual. The brandon is set ablaze at the village festival in August.
